Help for Heroes visit Coppergate

Come along to the Coppergate Centre to meet Help for Heroes beneficiaries and Vikings, as they show off their woodworking and boat-building skills.

As part of a year-long project to build a Viking ship, in collaboration with the community engagement team from JORVIK Viking Centre, this is a great chance to talk to contemporary heroes about their recovery at Phoenix House at Catterick Garrison. Learn how they’re engaging with Viking history to think about their own experiences, and the wood-working techniques they’re using to create a 26 foot replica Viking longboat.
