The JORVIK Group of attractions have re-opened.
When we re-open we will have social distancing and safety policies in place to make sure visits are safe and enjoyable for all our visitors and staff, including reducing the number of people in the attraction, ensuring social distancing and extra hygiene precautions. Yes, if you still have your receipt we will be extending the period for which you can get free entry by 6 months.
Please email groups@yorkat.co.uk and if your query is urgent, one of our team will respond as soon as they can. If your query is not urgent, it may be some time before we are able to reply.
The coronavirus crisis is causing unpredictable and significant concerns for JORVIK Viking Centre, our sister attractions and York Archaeological Trust as a whole. Our staff and visitors’ safety is our top priority. However, making our attractions safe has incurred unexpected costs, and combined with the severe ticket income loss, our future plans are under threat.

We usually welcome new volunteer involvement via set intake periods each year. These offer an opportunity to join the team in the company of other new volunteers as well as lots of training and support along the way.
We are welcoming applications for our Winter 2022 Volunteer Intake from 6th December 2021 to 6th January 2022. You can find out more here.
Our placement program is currently on hold until Spring 2022. Opportunities will be advertised on our Placements page and through our mailing list when they are available.
