From Monday 12th June 2023, the only tickets available to book on our website will be our standard admission prices. The following discounts are available at JORVIK Viking Centre when tickets are purchased on the door, by joining the standby queue.

| NHS Emergency Services British Armed Forces Blue Light Card 20% off voucher | 20% off. This discount is available for every member of your party (paying together), and is available for single attraction tickets. This discount does not apply to joint attraction tickets. |
| York Card (20% off) | This discount is available for the York Card holder only. You must show a valid York Card on arrival. This discount does not apply to joint attraction tickets. |
| English Heritage member (15% off) (Incl. Cadw & Historic Scotland) | You must show valid English Heritage Membership card for each member of the party. Other schemes which offer free entry to English Heritage sites (e.g. Barclays Premier, CSSC) are not eligible for this offer. Not available on family or joint attraction tickets. This discount will be available until 8th of April 2024. |
| Blue Peter badge (free entry) | This discount is available for the badge holder only, and for under 16s only. Please bring the badge and card. |
| Carer | We are pleased to offer free entry for carers, who are assisting someone during their visit. If you have a carer’s card or some similar ID then you can bring this with you, but if not, then please do not worry; we understand that not everyone who requires assistance will have a formal document. |
| Returning visitors (tickets valid for 12 months) | Most of our tickets are valid for 12 months so you can visit multiple times. This is available for all members of your original party. Tickets are not transferable. You must bring your original ticket and ID with you. |
| York Pass | You must present a valid York Pass, which will be redeemed on arrival. |
| MAX card | A MAX card is free entry for up to 2 adults and 2 children. |
| YAG staff pass | Free entry for up to 2 adults and 2 children. Valid pass and ID must be shown on arrival. |
| Tesco Clubcard Partner codes | If you would like to pay with Tesco Reward Partner codes, please exchange your points for a Clubcard Partner code via your Tesco account. You will receive an email with QR codes. When you arrive, please have your Clubcard Partner code (QR code) ready for us to scan. We will then give you a paper ticket. Please note that Clubcard Partner codes can only be used for single attraction tickets, and are not valid for any discounted or joint tickets. However, you can use them for a family of 4 and a family of 5. |
These are our most commonly used discounts – if you have another voucher or discount that is not listed here, please ask for more information ([email protected] or 01904 615505) before purchasing tickets. We are not able to apply discounts after you have placed a booking, or after you have purchased tickets on the door.
Anyone who would like to claim a discount will be asked for proof of eligibility on arrival. If you cannot provide this, you will be charged for the standard ticket price.
Standby queue at JORVIK Viking Centre
Priority is given to those with a pre-booked ticket for a time slot, but we will still admit those from the standby queue in between the time slots. As the queue time varies with the seasons and the weather, it is not possible to say how long you will be waiting if you join this queue, but you will still get in as long as you join the queue in plenty of time before last admission. Queueing time is usually less first thing in the morning, or towards the end of the day. Weekends and school holidays are usually our busiest times.

We understand that some of our visitors with disabilities or access needs may find queueing difficult. If you are struggling to wait in the queue, please do speak to a member of staff, who will do their best to discreetly admit your party. You will also find more information about accessibility here.

JORVIK Group Gift Vouchers
Looking for a gift for a friend or family member? You can purchase a gift voucher on our website.
How to use gift vouchers:
Please select the amount you wish to purchase. You will need to enter the recipient’s name, and you will have the option to add a message. The voucher will be delivered by email to the email address you enter at the checkout – this can be your own, or the recipient’s if you would prefer it to go directly to them.
Vouchers will be valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Most ticket types for our attractions are valid for 12 months from the date they are first used, and event tickets will be just for the one event.
Once a voucher has been purchased, the recipient can redeem it by adding the tickets they would like to their basket, then entering the voucher code at the check out. Vouchers must be redeemed in advance online, they cannot be used to purchase tickets over the phone or on the door at any of our attractions or events. Vouchers are not eligible for Gift Aid, so please do not select the Gift Aid option at the check out.
Vouchers, and tickets purchased with vouchers are non-refundable.
