‘We are immensely grateful to all those who have supported the campaign with their generous donations, including the organisations below. Without them the task of rebuilding and re-imagining JORVIK would not have been possible.
At the start of 2017 we have raised just under £1m of the £1.5m target, which enables us to open the new JORVIK on 8 April 2017.
We are continuing to fundraise for the outstanding £500,000, which will enable development of associated virtual and digital programmes and facilities, increasing access and enhancing the JORVIK experience for even more audiences, across the UK and worldwide.’
Thank you to all who have supported us so far, and to those who donate in the coming weeks and months: your contributions are absolutely vital.’
– Sarah Maltby, Director of Attractions
